2018 Illumination: Bloom

Assets’ annual fundraising gala, Illumination, celebrates the success of our students with a goal to raise over $250,000 in 2018 to support the tuition assistance program.

The Friday evening gala will kick off a weekend of celebration at The Royal Hawaiian for our Assets School ‘Ohana.To give our families time to make it into Waikiki for the event, school will dismiss at 12pm and there will be no after school care on March 2nd.  

Below are a few ways you can help….

Volunteer: Please visit SignUpGenius to find out ways to help prior to, during, and post event. 

Social Media: Share the event information from the Assets School Facebook page on your personal Facebook page, asking for support, auction items, and to invite your friends and family to attend.

Auction Items: We are still in need of donated items for our silent auction! Items we are focused on include hotel packages, fine wines, adventures, high-end jewelry, etc. on or before February 16th. Email for further information on how to donate. 

Tickets, Tables & Donations: Purchase tickets, sponsor a table or make a cash donation by clicking here.

Hotel Block: For those who would like to make a weekend of it, we’ve made arrangements with The Royal Hawaiian for a block of room for our Assets ‘Ohana. If you would like to stay one or two nights at a special rate, please book your room as follows:
• Call Reservations at 808-921-4621
• Identify yourself as with Assets School and use code “RGASSE” for pricing
• Complimentary SELF parking for one (1) vehicle per room in the Sheraton Waikiki Parking Garage and a resort fee of $36 per night will apply.
• There will be family friendly activities available on Saturday, March 3rd, for those staying in the hotel. Some are complimentary (games, pools at both The Royal Hawaiian and the Sheraton) and others will have a nominal free (surf lessons, SUP lessons, kayak rentals).

Childcare: We will be offering childcare by our high school students in the Volunteer Hospitality Room the evening of the event for volunteers and those staying at the hotel. Completion of a waiver will be required upon drop off of your child. 

Volunteer Appreciation Brunch: In order to thank our volunteers, we will be offering a complimentary brunch at The Royal Hawaiian on Saturday, March 3rd from 10am-12pm. Please RSVP on SignUpGenius.
