Kindergarten Lead Teacher – SY 18-19

Assets School is seeking a full-time kindergarten teacher, beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. Lead teachers are responsible for planning and delivering an integrated, thematic educational program. The Kindergarten class is typically one teacher with 8-10 students.

Candidates must be passionate about learning and able to differentiate curriculum for the diverse learning needs of students who are gifted and/or have learning differences.  S/he should have expertise in the fields of early childhood development and education. The ability to successfully collaborate with other teachers and effectively communicate is essential.  Experience with our student population is preferred, but an interest and high willingness to learn is also welcomed.

Middle School Second Teacher – SY18-19

Assets School is seeking a full-time teacher, beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. This is a co-teaching position, though each middle school teacher teachers her own math, Project-Based Learning, and enrichment classes. There are also supervisory duties. Other instructional responsibilities are determined along with the Lead Teacher.

After School Care Leaders

After School Leaders plan activities and supervise students in grades K-8.  Activities can include homework support, free play on the playground, organized sports and games, art projects, cooking projects and computer games.  Typical hours are from 2:45pm to 5:30 or 6:00pm.  The exception is Wednesday, when After Care starts at 1:25pm.  After School Care follows the school calendar.  There are also special school events that After School Care Leaders provide childcare for.  Candidates must demonstrate a passion for working with children and an understanding of developmental needs.  Candidates must be able to embody the school’s culture in the after school program, communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with colleagues.

 Custodian/Maintenance Workers

Part-time and full-time needed at our K-8 campus.  Cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.  Vacuum, mop, wipe down classrooms and offices, empty trash.  Clean, mop and restock restrooms.  Grounds maintenance:  cut grass, rake leaves, etc. Perform semi-annual deep cleaning during breaks.

Some experience with custodian and lawn maintenance; able to follow directions; lift 50 lbs., read, write, speak and understand English.
