2018-19 Grades K-8 School Year

 Calendar August 15, 2018 – May 22, 2019
Assets is on a trimester schedule with three progress reports and three parent conferences.
Open House takes place in the Fall.
 Breaks Winter Break: December 19, 2018 – January 4, 2019
Spring Break: March 25-29, 2019
 Hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:40 AM – 2:55 PM 
Wednesday from 7:40 AM – 1:25 PM

Before school supervision is free and begins at 6:15 AM. After school care is available from 3:00-6:00 PM for an additional $1,500 per year; intermittently, after school classes (for example: art, chess, etc.) are offered from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Part time after school care is available for $12 per day and is based on availability. 

 Breaks 15 minute mid-morning snack break; grades 1-4 have an additional 15 minute play period
 Lunch 20 minutes to eat; 20 minutes to play, socialize, or attend study hall
 Food Students must bring lunch and snacks from home as we do not have an in-school cafeteria.
Lunch option for a fee: catered nutritious meals from Happy Bento.
 Transportation Parents may contract Tomasa’s Bus Company for dedicated bus service.
 Drop-off and pick up points vary. We also provide contact information for parents wishing to establish carpools.
Attire Students do not wear uniforms. Covered shoes required for PE and the play structure.
Athletics Assets is a member of the Christian Schools Athletic League (CSAL) for Grades 4-5 and Pac-5 consortium of small schools in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) for Grades 7-8. CSAL practice sessions are held close to campus; ILH students are bused to practice locations. All athletes must find their own
 way home.

Athletes are assessed a one-time participation fee: $50 for CSAL and $250 for ILH. 

Tuition  $23, 210 + $150 Technology Fee. Includes all supplies. Payment options:
(a) Single payment due August 5th
(b) Two installments due August 5th and December 5th
(c) Ten equal payments with an additional monthly $10 processing fee included beginning on August 5th.

There is a mandatory $450 tuition insurance fee per family (regardless of the number of children enrolled) for parents using the monthly payment plan. This insurance is optional for parents paying annually or semi-annually.

 Financial Aid Need-based financial aid is available; the maximum award is usually no more than 50% the cost of tuition. New families with active applications may apply online at Tuition Assistance; awards are announced in June.

 

2018-19 Grades K-8 Summer Academies 

Calendar  June 12 – July 12, 2018
Hours  Monday – Friday from 7:40 AM -12:25 PM. Free early morning supervision begins at 6:15 AM.
Breaks 20 min. mid-morning snack break with an additional 20 min. play period. Students staying for afternoon Camp have a lunch break before reporting.
Food Students must bring lunch and snacks from home as we do not have an in-school cafeteria.
Lunch option for a fee: catered nutritious meals from Happy Bento.
Transportation Parents may contract with independent companies for dedicated bus service.
 Drop off and pick up points vary. We also provide contact information for parents wishing to establish carpools.
Attire Students do not wear uniforms. Covered shoes required for Enrichments and the play structure.
Tuition $1,450 includes supplies. No financial aid is available.
After Care Ke Kula Pa’ani Summer Camp offers structured activities and snacks from 12:30- 4:00 PM with extended care from 4:00-5:30 PM.

Cost for this half day program is $160 per week and covers all supplies and field trips.
